This afternoon I had a wonderful session with sleepy ms. h. I don’t think she woke up for more than a few seconds during the entire session! She is absolutely beautiful and it was so much fun meeting her.

Big brother n and big sister i were super great helpers!

S family, congratulations on the birth of your precious daughter. May your nights be filled with sleep and your days be filled with joy!

This lovely mom to be was so much fun! She has such a cute baby belly and had such great clothes for our session. Her little guy is due pretty soon and I can’t wait to meet him. We were lucky to even get a few images with her mom. I can tell already this baby is going to be very spoiled.

A, thank you so much for the wonderful session. I really admire you and can’t wait to meet your sweet miracle!

During our maternity and family session ms. a was telling her baby brother secrets – very seriously I might add. I’d love to know what she was telling him – probably that he is going to be born into a delightful family that will love him beyond measure and spoil him beyond belief. I know baby to be’s grandparents and some other family members and I am so very excited for them.

We had a fun session – a mix of family and maternity inside and then some of ms a outside. I love mixing studio and outdoor work. It’s a great way to get lost of variety.

G and C, thank you so much for coming by! I had a wonderful time and will have the rest of your images to you soon. Thank you!

What an appropriate weekend for a maternity session! I had a wonderful session Saturday with the m family. It’s amazing how pregnancy changes a woman’s body. Capturing these unique changes makes maternity sessions really special. What wonderful mementos for a mom to be!

Today I had a wonderful time visiting with my parents and my brother and his family. All of the children ran around and played and laughed, and laughed and laughed. I am so very thankful to be able to spend time with my mom and my family. I am thankful for the blessing of being a mother. Hearing my children laugh lifts my heart like nothing else can.

s, I thank you for the opportunity to photograph this special time in your life. May your Mother’s Days for years to come be filled with love and family and laughter!

I do! How could I photograph a little guy like this and not?

I had such a wonderful time today meeting the b family. They are just delightful. Mr. D is such a trooper! He is such a happy baby and has the most beautiful smile. It just melts his mother’s heart when he smiles – you can tell.

Thank you so much for allowing me to spend some time with your family today. Enjoy your beautiful baby! I will have the rest of your images to you shortly.

I had a wonderful maternity session this morning with the P family. Little ms a is about to be a big sister! We had a great time today singing Elmo and Five Little Monkeys. We even took some time to let her play in her birthday tutu! ms a was a fabulous helper while we took some photographs of her mom. Just a few more weeks until child number two is welcomed into the family!

Spring is just around the corner and new life will be surrounding us. My crocus started blooming this week and I know daffodils won’t be too far along. After a weekend of snow and ice, I am ready for spring! This is such a perfect time to celebrate new life – in the world around us and in the form of a tiny baby about to be born.

Thank you for sharing this time of anticipation with me! I can’t wait to meet your sweet baby. Enjoy your preview and I will have the rest of your images to you soon.

I had the honor today of photographing the week old daughter of dear friends. My APC family will surely celebrate with me the arrival of Jeff and Nicole’s daughter, Clara Grace. Is she not a beautiful baby? She has the silkiest hair and the most delicate, feminine fingers. Perhaps she’ll have her daddy’s amazing piano and organ skills.

Clara Grace’s mom and I love to spend time together and I am so thankful for her friendship. It’s a blessing to have what I call “2 am friends” – the ones you can call at any time no matter what. She is certainly one of those friends. She is also my monthly pedicure buddy. :)

I can’t wait to watch Clara Grace grow up and see what all life has in store for her.

The four legged beauty below is “big sister” Teela! She enjoyed some of my props while Clara enjoyed lunch. She’s adapting to the new baby so very well.

H family, please enjoy these images! Many more coming soon. Thank you again~

Maternity sessions are so much fun – especially when there is a sibling involved! It’s so precious to me the way a child bonds with a coming brother or sister. Yesterday little ms. s was such a great helper during our session.

One of the things I love to photograph is a toddler’s hands. Little children have such cute hands and usually have the most adorable little dimples around their knuckles. Then as they grow older it seems these cute dimples vanish overnight. ms s. is holding mommy’s belly and you can see those little dimples. What a great moment – mom’s beautiful pregnant belly and her child’s adorable hands. One day both will be drastically different but this special moment has been captured forever.

We were getting some images of mom and s decided she wanted to show her belly, too. How cute is that?

A family, thank you so very much for the really fun session. I can’t wait to show you the rest of your images. Please enjoy your preview!

I just love working with mr. m. He is such a handsome and funny little man. Look at these big baby blues! I am tickled pink (literally!) that he is going to be a big brother very soon. I think he’s excited about little sister’s pending arrival. He is going to be an excellent big brother.

We had a great session – lots of smiles, some serious glances, a few minutes with Lightening McQueen and a hug or two to spare for mom. Can’t ask for much more than that! Doesn’t mom have the most beautiful baby belly? Only a few more weeks til we get to meet this precious little girl. I can’t wait to do her newborn session.

H family, please enjoy your preview!

During either late February or early March I’m going to have some mini sessions especially for silhouettes. How many of you have one of these of yourself from when you were a child? I just love the timeless look of silhouettes and they make such great gifts for family – especially grandparents.

More details coming within the next couple weeks about these items. If you have a session already scheduled in the next couple weeks and would like to have a silhouette from your session please just let me know in advance!

Wouldn’t these be adorable on little note cards?

I will have a preview of a maternity session and a two and a half year old soon. Stay tuned! (and stay warm!!)
