This weekend I got to meet and photograph sweet ms. e. She is so beautiful and so strong! She is a fighter and her parents are so very proud of her.

We took a picture of ms. e with mommy and daddy’s rings – when she was born her daddy’s ring fit all the way on her leg. We wanted to show how much she’s grown in just a few months. Amazing, isn’t it. Her mommy loves black and white photographs, so here are a few previews.

J and A, it was a pleasure to meet you. Your story is inspiring and I wish only the best for you all! Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to photograph your sweet baby girl.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with two beautiful, content, happy babies. Twins – one boy and one girl. They are at such a delightful stage – tons of expressions, coos, and melt your heart belly laughs. We didn’t get to do many curly poses but we had some wonderful conversations. Babies have stories to tell with their little “agoo, agaa, agee” coos.

mr p and ms b even while asleep had the most content expressions – I would almost dare to say they smile a bit. What blessings these babies are!

Thank you L and I for having me yesterday. It was truly a pleasure to meet you and your family. Please enjoy these images. I’ll have the rest of your gallery to you soon!

This weekend I had the privilege of meeting ms. m. She was a perfect little lady and her session was tons of fun. We had some beautiful sleepy poses and some wonderful wide awake moments. Her big sister A was a great helper ~ she loves trying to find the ladybug who lives in my camera.

I had the pleasure of photographing mom for her maternity session and I love being able to come back and meet the baby! P family, thank you so much for having me. I hope you enjoy these previews. I’ll have the rest of your images to you soon.

Meet mr. a! He is such a calm and mild mannered little guy. He was sleepy and curly and content. Big sister s was a super helper and gave little brother tons of kisses. We got some wonderful family images, too.

a family -please enjoy these previews! I will have the rest of your images to you shortly!

Thank you so much for having me over this morning. I really enjoyed our session!

I had the honor today of photographing the week old daughter of dear friends. My APC family will surely celebrate with me the arrival of Jeff and Nicole’s daughter, Clara Grace. Is she not a beautiful baby? She has the silkiest hair and the most delicate, feminine fingers. Perhaps she’ll have her daddy’s amazing piano and organ skills.

Clara Grace’s mom and I love to spend time together and I am so thankful for her friendship. It’s a blessing to have what I call “2 am friends” – the ones you can call at any time no matter what. She is certainly one of those friends. She is also my monthly pedicure buddy. :)

I can’t wait to watch Clara Grace grow up and see what all life has in store for her.

The four legged beauty below is “big sister” Teela! She enjoyed some of my props while Clara enjoyed lunch. She’s adapting to the new baby so very well.

H family, please enjoy these images! Many more coming soon. Thank you again~

Merry Christmas!

December 22, 2009

As Christmas approaches I want to take a moment to thank all of you who have given me the opportunity to photograph you, your pet, your baby, your child, your family. It truly brings me joy to work as a photographer. When I was younger, I used to think it would be so amazing to be a florist. No matter the occasion people are always happy to receive flowers – whether a romantic vase of roses, a sweet and simple bouquet to celebrate the birth of a baby, or a beautiful peace lily to express condolences at a funeral. Florist I am not, but in many ways I think being a photographer serves the same purpose. Viewing photographs evokes so many emotions. Often times new moms tell me the sweet, simple images of their baby make them cry. Then a year later they tell me how they’ve looked through an album or book and they just can’t believe their baby was so tiny just 12 months ago and is now walking! I have the wonderful privilege of working with families over and over again as time passes and I get to celebrate their family growing older. It is truly an honor to document life this way.

Photographing a couple in love is such a treat. New love just radiates and it has a way of reminding me how in love I am with my husband and my family. For these couples, I hope these images always bring back memories of what it is like to be young and head over heels in love.

Family portraits are so timeless. I have photographs of my grandmother with her family when she was a teenager. I have photographs of my father as a toddler – and I know where my son gets some of his blond curly hair. After funerals my family has gathered around to go through boxes and drawers of photographs. We laugh and cry and reminisce as we look through a lifetime of memories. I encourage you to have a family portrait taken on a regular basis – leave these memories for the generations that come after you.

It is a blessing for me to do what I love while staying home with my beautiful children. I am thankful for my husband’s support and encouragement.

As you gather with your family this Christmas season please know I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be your photographer. May each of you have a very peaceful and blessed Christmas and a wonderful 2010.

~ Please don’t forget to email nominations for a family to receive a gift session and $750 worth of products. Nominations must be received by December 23 so that I can tally votes and contact the winner Christmas Eve!

~ If you need a last minute gift, gift certificates are available in any amount.

I had the pleasure of photographing beautiful mr. d this morning. Every baby has such a distinct personality and expresses likes and dislikes even at a few days old. mr. d did not like being undressed for his photographs so we did what we could to keep him happy! This sweet smile shows our efforts were rewarded.

B family, it was pleasure to meet d this morning. Congratulations on your third blessing! May he bring you joy and happiness and laughter. I look forward to watching him grow up!

Had the pleasure of meeting this sweet little guy last weekend. He is three months new and is such a handsome little fella! He was such a trooper but needed a quick power nap during our session. Here is a sneak peek of a sweet moment.

Thanks so much, s family. Will have the rest of your images to you soon!
