I had a wonderful time with the V family last week. They are welcoming their sweet baby girl V into the family. We took some beautiful portraits of ms v in her baptism gown. It was so lovely – beautiful gown and bonnet. It was her mom’s when she was baptized! I love using heirlooms like this in portrait sessions.

ms v has three handsome brothers. We found a perfect spot outside for some family photos and for some images of each of the boys. Aren’t they adorable?

As we were finishing our session ms v gave it up and went to sleep. There is something so peaceful and perfect about holding a sleeping baby. This is true even when it’s 95 degrees outside.

V family, thank you so much. Enjoy your preview!

Monday morning I met these lovely ladies for a super fun outdoor session. The weather was perfect – was glad to escape the humidity we’ve had lately.

I had the honor of photographing ms c when she was a newborn. It’s so amazing to see her growing up! She is walking and talking and singing and dancing and she has the most amazing expressions. Big sister g is a beautiful little girl and every time we meet one of her images ends up showcased on my website. Can you see her cute freckles? These girls are so much fun together. Sisters definitely share a special bond.

We had lots of fun picking up our favorite flowers, leaves, rocks and bugs. Roly poly’s were the choice insect of our morning.

D family, thank you so much for meeting me! Please enjoy these images – will email you soon with the rest.

And, to my husband, you are the most amazing daddy to our children. I love watching you with them! Here’s a photograph of my husband with his daddy years ago. My son looks so much like my husband did at his age. I just love looking back at old family photographs!

Give your dad or husband a gift that will last a lifetime! Please contact me to purchase gift certificates.

Saturday evening I had the privilege of meeting the D family. Luckily the rain held off until after our session!

These children are so beautiful and full of energy. I’m saving the family images for the gallery (have to save some surprises!) but here are some my favorites of each child.

S and family, please enjoy these images. I’ll have your gallery to you soon!

During our maternity and family session ms. a was telling her baby brother secrets – very seriously I might add. I’d love to know what she was telling him – probably that he is going to be born into a delightful family that will love him beyond measure and spoil him beyond belief. I know baby to be’s grandparents and some other family members and I am so very excited for them.

We had a fun session – a mix of family and maternity inside and then some of ms a outside. I love mixing studio and outdoor work. It’s a great way to get lost of variety.

G and C, thank you so much for coming by! I had a wonderful time and will have the rest of your images to you soon. Thank you!

Here are a couple more previews for L and her sweet son. I enjoyed this session so much and I can’t look at this little guy’s smile without smiling back!

I have lots of previews for the blog today – summer has been busy (and fun!) so far.

Gift certificates are available for shower gifts or Father’s Day! Please call or email if you’re interested!

L, please enjoy. Will talk with you soon!

During and after college my dad and some of his good friends were in a band that played country and bluegrass music. They had a number one hit around the time I was born! I grew up listening to Dad play guitar every night – this was the background music in our home. This weekend my dad had a reunion with members of his band. I think Dad and his friends had a great weekend and from what I heard the music still sounds amazing. I hope the band gets together again soon – would love for my kids to hear my dad and the others play music.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting mr j. We had a wonderful studio session and his mom brought his guitar! His grandpa, Big Daddy, plays guitar for him when they’re together. Let me tell you, as soon as momma got out the guitar j had a huge smile! Music is so powerful.

L, it was a delight to meet you and your sweet little man today. Here is one image for you – will have some more soon!

I had the pleasure of meeting sweet ms a today for her one year session! She is such a delightful child – full of smiles and laughs. She is cruising and babbling and is already a huge fan of cell phones.

My daughter sucks her thumb and I have several photographs of her with her thumb in her mouth that I simply treasure. When my daughter is grown I’ll have these to remember the sweet way she holds her fingers. Today when ms a sucked her thumb I knew I wanted to capture this for her parents.

We had a wonderful time at a park in Norcross this afternoon. There are some really beautiful parks and other photography locations in Norcross. I love finding new locations – thanks M family for suggesting this great spot!

Thank you all for meeting today. Please enjoy these previews – I’ll have the rest of your images to you shortly!

Clouds of thick pollen aside, the past few weeks have been so amazingly beautiful here in Georgia. The trees are green and stunning, the weather is perfect, the flowers are plentiful – that includes dandelions. While that’s not such great news if you’re working on your lawn, it’s tons of fun if you’re a child.

Sunday we had a wonderful session with the K family. K and D were so very cute and we got some lovely images of the children separately and together. We also got some beautiful family portraits outside. The light green trees and pear tree blossoms make for an amazing natural backdrop.

K family, thank you so much for coming over for your session. Please enjoy these few images. I will have the rest of your gallery to you shortly.

The B family was so much fun yesterday! We had a great time during our session at one of my very favorite outdoor locations. The children were all so beautifully dressed and were super well behaved. During this family image they were all singing ABC’s. So cute!

All of these boys and their sister have the cutest smiles and twinkling eyes. It was really fun to work with them.

B family, thank you so much for meeting me yesterday! Please enjoy your sneak peek!
