High School Sports ~ Alpharetta High School and Milton High School Basketball

The past couple weeks have been really busy – and really important – for local high school basketball teams.  The girls and boys teams of many local schools are playing hard to progress in the state playoffs.  Support your local schools and attend a game!  It’s invigorating and inspiring to see these young players give the game their all.

The Alpharetta High School girls had won 16 in a row before Tuesday night’s loss to Mill Creek.  The girls played so hard and fought to the end.

The Milton High School boy’s team won Wednesday evening against Shiloh High School.

Check with local schools to get the latest schedules and directions to the playoffs!

Sunday Notes

The past two Saturdays I’ve been with a friend at a local AMC theater watching all nine Best Picture nominees.  Yes, we’re a little tried of sitting!  I love that the AMC theaters host this Best Picture Showcase every year!  It’s already on my calendar to attend the Best Picture Showcase again next year.

Tonight I’m getting ready to watch at least part of the Oscars.  My daughter is currently ooh-ing and ah-ing over the beautiful gowns and jewelry.  She says (most of) the ladies look like princesses.

Below are my votes for the awards this evening.   I enjoyed The Artist but am not as crazy about that as the Academy seems to be.   I tried to pick a favorite for each category but for some it’s hard to choose!

Are you watching tonight?  If so, what are your favorites?  Would love to know your favorite movie from last year and what made it special to you.  Let me know what you think!  And, good luck to your favorite folks.

Cumming Baby Photography ~ Sitting Pretty!

This is a favorite from my most recent session with lovely Ms. L. Isn’t she adorable! She is sitting now – this is such a wonderful age for a baby session. I encourage my Baby Plan members to schedule a session around the time their little one can sit unassisted. Let’s catch them before they start crawling!

Ms. L is such a beautiful little girl. She has the most serious expressions and the most adorable dimple when she smiles.

W family, please enjoy!
