I saw a link about this on another blog I read and thought it was a wonderful idea. I’d like to help them pay it forward here in Atlanta!
North Fulton Community Charities is located in Roswell, GA. They provide food and other assistance to folks in North Atlanta who need our help to survive. Times are tough and so many people are struggling. NFCC has been giving out more than a ton of food a week and they need constant donations to stock their pantry.
From December 11 through December 19 I will donate one canned good for every comment left here on the blog. All you have to do is leave a comment! If you don’t know what to say, just click on comment below and tell me what your favorite canned good is. Easy, right?
Most of us have no idea what it feels like to really be hungry. Please consider paying it forward where you are.
Here’s an idea of what NFCC needs. (taken from their website)
The Food Pantry
The food pantry has a continual need for food and staple products.
- Food: all types of non-perishable food including: tuna fish, canned meat, cereals, grits, dry beans, rice, macaroni & cheese, peanut butter & jelly, single serving foods, canned soup, fruit, vegetables, pasta, spaghetti sauce, and sugar.
- Toiletries: shampoo, hand soap, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
- Paper Products: toilet paper, paper towels, baby diapers, feminine supplies.
- Cleaning supplies: powder laundry detergent and dish detergent.
- Food Vouchers: Grocery store gift cards in small denominations ($10 – $25) are needed to provide food and perishable items for individuals on restricted diets.

Did you know that at Kroger Chef Boyardee products are $1 each? I am a chef but my kids seem to prefer Mr. Boyardee over classical French cuisine! Go figure.
